EDUCATION SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN OF IDPs & MISSIONARIES

September 2025

As part of its ongoing support for Christian IDPs, Lay Faithful Trust Foundation continues to pay the school fees of children of IDPs in various states in the country. As schools resume for a new session in September 2025, Lay Faithful Trust Foundation has paid the school fees for the following number of children:

1. Maiduguri, Borno State – 37 children for their education from primary school to university

2. Gombe, Gombe state – 11 children in secondary schools

3. Rumana Gbagyi, Southern Kaduna – 12 children in primary and secondary schools

4. Rumana Gbagyi, - Southern Kaduna – 3 youths in skill acquisition training

5. Minna, Niger State – 15 children in secondary schools at the Acipawa Mission Field

6. Zambuk, Gombe state – 5 students

7. Tertiary institutions – The school fees of 5 students in various universities were paid under the missions’ educational support.

In Taraba state, Lay Faithful Trust Foundation recently sponsored 42 IDPs for skill acquisition in fashion design, hair dressing and barbing. The successful candidates have completed the training and Lay Faithful Trust Foundation plans to purchase the basic equipment they require to start their enterprise.

We thank all the brethren whose funds support the education of IDP’s children. We are equally grateful to those whose donations sponsored the tertiary education of missionaries' children.
