1. Download the App

• Go to the App Store (Apple) or Google Play Store (Android)
• Search for MoneyGram and download the official app

2. Register a New Profile

• Open the app and tap “Sign Up”
• Enter your email address and create a secure password
• Provide your mobile phone number and continue
• Enter your:
• First name
• Last name
• Home address
• Country of birth

3. Start a Transfer

• After registration, you’ll be directed to the main page
• Select the country you’re sending money to — choose Nigeria

4. Choose How You Want to Pay

• Select your preferred payment method:
• Debit/Credit Card – funds arrive almost immediately
• Bank Account – delivery takes about 3 business days
• Other options (if available in your region)

5. Enter Receiver Details

• Input the receiver’s full name (must match their bank account)
• Select the receiver’s bank name
• Enter their 10-digit Naira account number

6. Review & Send

• Double-check all details
• Review transfer fee and exchange rate
• Tap “Send Money”

7. Future Transfers

• Once your profile and recipient are saved, you can send money anytime in just a few taps
• When using a card, funds are typically delivered to the Nigerian bank account within minutes

(PS: I don’t stress much about exchange rates anymore. The rate band has narrowed significantly, and the time, effort, and risks of handling physical cash and converting dollars often cancel out any minor gains)
