5th December 2022

The Women of Faith of the St. Peter's Igbo Anglican Church, Hamilton, New Jersey, USA, in collaboration with the Lay Faithful Trust Foundation of Nigeria, conducted humanitarian relief distributions at two orphanages in Awka, Anambra State on Monday, 5th December 2022.

The two orphanages are:
•    Faith Community Children’s Home, Awka
•    Tender Love Orphanage, Amaenyi, Awka

Tender Love Orphanage was established by late Mrs Uzoamaka Okoli a one-time Commissioner for Women Affairs in Anambra State. The orphanage currently has 88 children of various ages.

The donations at the orphanages include the following:
•    32-inch T.V. with GOTV decoder and 3 months subscription
•    18-inch Ox brand wall fan
•    20 cartons of Bestie Noodles
•    Bag of rice
•    Beans and crayfish
•    Packs of Diapers
•    Cans of insecticides
•    Cartons of milk and canned tomatoes
•    Food seasoning
•    Vegetable oil

At the Faith Community Children’s Home, the items were received by the Orphanage Chaplain, Reverend Edozie Chukwuogor who prayed for God's abundant blessings on the Women of Faith of the St Peter's Igbo Anglican Church, Hamilton, New Jersey, and their families.
Mrs Helen Eze, the Manager of the Tender Love Orphanage, expressed gratitude on behalf of the children, to the Women of Faith of the St Peter's Igbo Anglican Church, Hamilton, New Jersey for their generosity and prayed for God's abundant blessings on their families and Ministry.

Tender Love Orphanage has urgent need for functional vehicles for the use of the children. The existing vehicles in the orphanage have broken down beyond repairs and the management resorts to hiring vehicles for the children of school age who go to school outside the orphanage, and in cases of emergency. There is urgent need for a serviceable vehicle in the Orphanage.

Lay Faithful Trust Foundation greatly appreciates the Women of Faith for this wonderful gesture and prays for continued relationship in ministering to the needy, less privileged, and displaced persons in various parts of Nigeria.

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Lay Faithful Trust Foundation, Hon. Justice Kalajine Anigbogu (Rtd.) was present at the presentations of the donations at the two orphanages.

We use this medium to thank all our supporters, globally, and we pray that God will bless you and continually enrich you in every way to be always generous to the needy.

To God be the Glory.
