As part of its program to make Christian Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) financially independent, the Lay Faithful Trust Foundation (LFTF) launched an IDP Skills Acquisition Training Program in Taraba State. Under the initiative, some of the IDPs were coached in the following skills:
1. Fashion design
2. Hair dressing
3. Barbing
The graduates of LFTF's first Training Program required assistance and basic equipment to bring their new skills to life. Under a joint-partnership agreement, Lay Faithful Trust Foundation provided tools and hardware for the following IDPs:
1. Sewing machines – 32 IDP beneficiaries
2. Hair dressing equipment – 2 IDP beneficiaries
3. Barbing clippers and generator – 3 IDP beneficiaries
The equipment was handed over to the beneficiaries in a public ceremony. They have since commenced their new enterprises.
With increased funding support, the Lay Faithful Trust Foundation hopes to sustain its skills acquisition program. Already, another set of IDPs is receiving skills acquisition training in Southern Kaduna.
We thank all the Christian donors who generously contribute funds to support the Christian IDPs. God bless you and replenish you abundantly.
Please find below some of the pictures of the beneficiaries.
