Yola, Adamawa State
December 2025
It was tragic.
After being driven from their homes by Islamist terrorists, the Christians became IDPs and fled to Fufore LGA in Adamawa state. Dispersed from various villages, with no means of sustenance, they hired a parcel of land to farm. In the days and weeks following, they looked forward to a bountiful harvest to stave off the famine and hunger that threatened their vulnerable families. The Christians planted maize, rice, beans and groundnut. After the harvest, the farm produce was stacked together awaiting distribution to the various IDP families.
It was 2:00 pm that fateful day when disaster struck. The IDPs were toiling on the farm when they saw thick smoke rising to the sky. It came from the direction of their stocked harvest. They rushed to the location to discover that arsonists had set the entire harvest on fire. It was an act of sheer wickedness, and it left the Christian IDPs feeling devastated.
Lay Faithful Trust Foundation was planning Christmas food relief to IDPs in Yola, Adamawa State, when we received the heartbreaking report. In response to the distress of the affected brethren, Lay Faithful Trust Foundation purchased the entire harvest they had lost and restored it to them. The affected IDPs were overjoyed and filled with gratitude for the help that they received.
Simultaneously, the Lay Faithful Trust Foundation also conducted Christmas food relief for IDPs in three camps in Girei LGA, Adamawa State. The camps are: Sangere Dutse, Fombina E.Y.N. and Anguwan Fulani Family.
We thank all the brethren who generously contribute funds to support the Christian IDPs in Nigeria. God bless you and replenish your purse abundantly.
Your brother in Christ,
