FOOD PROJECT TO IDPs, Kauru LGA, Southern Kaduna

THE CHILDREN WERE NOT SPARED

In the series of attacks by Fulani herdsmen against Christian Kaduna communities, the following villages in Kauru LGA were repeatedly attacked last year. They are Anguwan/Magaji, Kigam, Kitakum, Kishisho, Kikoba, Kamaru, Kitantsa and Anguwan Rimi. At the end of 2025, 152 women were widowed, and over 100 children became orphans.

In Anguwan Rimi, the Fulani militia killed twelve people and critically injured eight. The most pathetic acts of cruelty were committed against helpless children. Amongst those killed was a one-year-old baby. The terrorists refused to spare even the infants. Pictures of the machete cuts on the toddlers and children are withheld from this report. The media was deemed too gory to share. Despite the intense brutality of the Fulani herdsmen, some children managed to escape and survive. Some of their pictures are displayed in this report.

We urge for more prayers to God and increased advocacy. The government must be compelled to end the cycle of violence and death orchestrated by religious fanatics. It is unbelievable that an administration would be at ease with this scale of inhuman attacks on its citizens.

In January 2026, Lay Faithful Trust Foundation delivered food and cash relief to last year's survivors in Kauru. The brethren received the items with deep appreciation. They prayed that God would bless the donors and solicited more prayers for God to intervene and end these attacks.
