After 3 years, IDPs can now sleep on mattresses...

We are very grateful to the donors who have sponsored a total of 1,800 mattresses to Christian IDPs in three states. They insisted on remaining anonymous. May God bless them openly.

We also thank the CAN Chairman for his kind assistance to get the mattresses directly to the IDPs. According to the Chairman, the IDPs were filled with unspeakable joy for going to sleep on mattresses after 3 years.

APPEAL FOR CHRISTIAN SUPPORT

An estimated market value of the mattresses is more than N20 million. This amount is required to provide mattresses for 1,800 Christians affected by the Jihad launched against Nigerian Christians. Anyiin camp has over 36,000 IDPs while there are 22 IDP camps in Benue state. This is not counting IDP Camps in other states.

The reality therefore is that enormous amount of money is required to provide basic necessities of life for our brethren in distress. One critical need is schools for the children. Most of the affected children have been out of school for over 3 years.

If we all join hands, we can provide the help they need and in the process, halt the advance of the marauders from spreading all over the country. If the Jihadists should succeed in annihilating Christians in the North and Middle Belt, the rest of the country will not know peace. Consequently, it's in our collective interest to ensure that Christians in the North and Middle Belt are strong and they can stand.

This is a call for all Christians to support and contribute according to individual ability. You can give monthly, quarterly, or annually.
This is a collective responsibility.
