Should Children Give Birth to Children?

Above is the picture of a 15-year-old girl-child who was impregnated in one of the IDP camps. The reason? Hunger.

In another IDP camp, 200 babies were born in one month. The reason? Hunger. In most cases, the women were compelled to exchange their body for food.

As Christians, we could have prevented this unfortunate situation.

If each adult Christian in Nigeria contributed 500 Naira a month, we would have built sufficient pool of funds to take care of the vulnerable brethren in our midst. We have been making this call since 2014, ten years ago. We could have, like Joseph in Egypt, gathered reserves in the years of plenty and prepared for the current famine in the land.

Unfortunately, some Christian leaders conspired against the initiative and frustrated it. A fresh initiative started in 2020 as Lay Faithful Trust Foundation. We are still calling on Christians to support.

The situation is pathetic. Now, we have children giving birth to children.

It is not too late to support. Even now that the famine has arrived, many Christians are still able to donate 500 Naira monthly to support persecuted Christians.
